STOP losing your Baby Reptiles! Use THIS Egg Incubation Material 🦎🦎🦎
Переглядів 34114 днів тому
Every one of your baby reptiles is precious. Stop losing them to the wrong incubation material! Switch TODAY! If you are using any other incubation material, you could be losing your baby reptiles / baby geckos. We switched years ago and saw a DRAMATIC increase in our hatching success. Some reptile hatching materials will mold! Some will not hold moisture well. Some will hold too much moisture....
You Love Your Reptiles TOO MUCH 🦎 🦎

I KNOW you love your reptiles BUT.... Sometimes too much of a good thing is bad. You want to love and handle and take care of them the very best you can. But sometimes that care can be overdone. Make sure you avoid these 3 mistakes. It's so easy to properly care for your reptiles. But that care can go over the line and cause issues with your animals. From handling to feeding to misting. We try ...

Adult Leopard Gecko….Zoo Med heat mat attached to bottom of tank…..need to get thermostat.
Get one soon! Thanks for watching
Zebras seem to prefer to use cork bark like apartments instead of as smorgasbords! Not that i blame them, it looks like it must be cozy to hide inside cork bark if youre a tiny isopod! They must think theyre very well hidden.
Yes!!!! Great observation.
"hey isopods i was walking by and I just wanted to take a look to make sure you were doing okay." That made me chuckle so hard, thats how I talk to all my little things, even if its just TRINKETS and not pets or little yard critters! Awesome video as always! Great demonstration of overwatching the pot so much that it never boils! 😂
Thank you so very much. This was a fun video to do. (I think I overkilled the point a bit but it was fun :)

Great video! That intro perfectly sums up how I (and everyone in my family ever, from my parents to my sister) have gotten into new hobbies! Bless everyone who caters to the eager new hobbyist who says, "Guess what I got? Look what I found! This will be perfect for storing this or that! Look what so-in so gave me!" Great work as always Nanette and Wally!
Thank you! Nanette is such a trouper. And great point about supporting the new hobbyist. It doesn't matter if it's beanie babies or isopods or geckos :)
Really good video! I like that youre showing everything in bags or in bowls and tubs, talking about how you break things up to be smaller, show bigger and snaller containers, etc. it really helps people like me who need to visualize better to remember lists better - I keep forgetting that orchid soil mix is recommended by a lot of people, but you showing the bag is somehow more helpful to my brain! Also, thats a lovely table and a lovely story with it. Nothing quite beats the quality of wood furniture from that era!
Thank you very much. I'm very visual as well. Need my spreadsheets and org charts :)
So cute! Such pretty geckos! I love being able to see the joy and excitement of seeing the new arrivals in these kinds of unboxing videos, and it's still educational. Those sure are some supreme geckos! :)
Also, the thumbnail for this video is so cute! It perfectly summarizes my excitement for these little guys. I work with kids and one of the kids I work with most LOVES reptiles and amphibians, and during lunches and snack time sometimes he and and I will spend a couple of minutes just looking at pictures or short videos of geckos and frogs while he eats. And the thumbnail picture perfectly represents my excitement when seeing the geckos, as much as his excitement! Question - are these gold geckos inherently any different from Day geckos? Or is it like a type of morph? Thanks for always being cool!
Thank you. I love sharing the passion. Thanks for watching.
That is wonderful!!! These are basically the same as the more common giant day geckos... just, half the size.
Hi there to everyone at Supreme Gecko, I'm a person who loves little critters like amphibians, reptiles, and inverts, and have wanted a vivarium, terrarium, or aquarium for a long time - and although I may not be able to start a colony of isopods for a while, I'll definitely be buying Supreme Isopod Chow for any future pods I may have, and this channel is a great resource. Thank you for the great work! And that coconut half looks great. I'm the kind of person who would be so pleased to see my little pods cruising along or tucking up under that coconut half. Have a great day!
THANK YOU for this kind and wonderful comment. This made my day!
I have a large/medium terrestrial tarantula enclosed its 9x6x6 would this work? I was thinking at 1/3 the length I would run a small wall of silicone along the bottom because I will not be using springtails because they make me nervous. I was going to use sphagnum moss in the 1/3rd for the moisture side and keep a mix of dryer substrate on the other 6 inches, the silicone will help keep moisture out of the other side if I over water the moist side and slow mold is my theory... good or bad idea. I know moisture will seep in from the higher areas of the connected substrate but it won't flood under
It certainly should. Keep me posted
I seem to always have a ton of cricket poop(I guess that’s what it is) that comes off the egg cartons. I don’t see any of that in your video though, what am I doing wrong? I obviously don’t want that stuff getting in the reptile enclosures so it slows me down SOOO much
I agree 100% I don't like the frass (gecko poop) getting into the enclosures. It stinks and is foul! First, I am feeding the day after I gutload so when they come in, I gut load immediately and feed the 2nd or 3rd day after arrival. Also, I gently knock it off the frass from the egg cartons before moving to the catching container.
I do this all the time
Yes!!!
I put mine in my isopod colonies! Spotless every time.
Yes!!!
It’s always fun to see them clean the dishes
Almost as fast as I clean off my plate of waffles!
Just saved two eggs. Thanks Wally
Outstanding!!! We win!
Magic
Whaaaaaa just happened.
The cup was bought specifically for the video.....
suuuuuure
😂
Great tip
Thank you
Just got offered to trade some neat isopod species for some of my springtails so I’m coming back and revisiting this video 😊
This was a great interview. Congratulations
Also, if the egg prematurely cracks, you can save it. I used one ply of two ply bathroom tissue (a very thin amount), VERY lightly dampened it, and I covered the crack on a crested gecko egg. It worked like a charm, and the baby was just fine! 😊 Great tip for dents, Wally. Love it. 👍
Nice!!!! Congrats on the baby!
Love the tip!
Glad you can use it.
Hey there, great video! I 100% agree that WB geckos are extremely underrated. They're basically mini leopard geckos! I have a lovebird couple that's given us at least 20 babies (plus some eggs that didn't make it due to learning how to properly hatch them), plus 4 eggs currently incubating, in the ~10 years we've had them. I think the main reason they're such an unknown and underrated species is that the Departments of Wildlife in the areas that these are native have made it illegal to buy or sell the species, even if captive bred & born. But it's really awesome to see that others are breeding this fantastic gecko and trying to establish a market in areas that it's not illegal! Let me know if you'd like to see pictures of my geckos. I'm inactively/indirectly trying to create a morph so that I can establish a market locally.
Thank you! Yes for mini-leos. Good point about DoW. I would LOVE to see pictures. Shoot them over to me on FB. Wally Kern or Supreme Gecko
I use a solution of 83% liquid waffle and 17% Maple Syrup and it really works!
😂😂
Mmmmmm sounds yummy
I use a syringe. This is how I lost my first 2 eggs from this season. I didn't see they were denting in the bottom and when one started shaping weird it was too late 😢
Yes. This is why that diffuser bottle is sooooo important.
Awe, I'm so very sorry to hear that, JP. 😔 We all learn from our mistakes though. The good lord knows I've made plenty myself! 😅 Also, my baby is doing amazing! Thank you so much for him. I love him to death! :)
@@JayBugsTailsNScales definitely, I think that mistake won't happen again! I'm glad it's doing alright! Love getting updates 😀
How do you clean out castings and stuff when you do this? Do you just transfer them and that’s that? After a while doesn’t waste build up?
For castings, I use a 'dust buster' (I have another short on that). For beetle carcasses, you can sift those out for the most part.
I met you at the LaCrosse show today! Listening to this on my drive home right now!
How cool! Thank you so much!
I got one of your crested geckos at the scaled up reptile expo I got the crested geckos pinstripe
Oh nice! I hope you enjoy your crestie and thank you so much for watching the videos. Means a lot to us
I caught a female about 3 weeks ago here in the desert where I live. She's beautiful. Just laid 2 eggs. Would be great to have babies but I'm not serup to do it yet. She's been living in a 5 gal bucket in my power house. After seeing this video, I'm going to get an aquarium and what I need to keep the temperature correct for her. Maybe ... we can get lucky with the eggs. Thanks for this video, and the others too.😊
Very educational. Best of luck and thank you for the kind words.
@@SupremeGecko I live off grid, 65 miles to town, I'm going tomorrow. Will stop at pet store. I have been catching and feeding her crickets and mantis'...did I learn from your videos they eat meal worms too? I'm hoping to buy some of these things. I stay out late at night hunting for her food, lol. I have a warm pad to put under the aquarium ( I use them for my solar batteries in the winter so I have extra) . She laid 2 eggs yesterday, but they dry weather here started to shrivel them pretty quickly....I wrapped them in a damp papper towel in attempt to save them and will keep them on the refrigerator where it's around 85 deg. I don't know if I can save them, but I know to be more alert for the next batch. I might be able to use my incubator if the temp setting will go low enough, but I have chicks hatching right now and will have to wait a few day to find out. Anyway, I enjoy your videos and have been watching all that I can find about this beautiful little critter. Oh, last year, I could have caught a beautiful gopher snake....but my wife isn't too interested in those yet. Lol.
@@Navy_Snipe Thank you for the comment. Yes, they love mealworms.
Great video
Thank you!

No worries. Several GREAT tips added that I did not even think about. Great watch.
@@SupremeGecko It was a great watch! I've only travelled having George the hognose and he of course didn't need any maintenance while I was gone. My friend comes and checks on my cats twice a day while I'm gone but she's NOT a snake person. She would look at him and make sure he wasn't dead but that as far as she would go. LOL! I'll have to teach her about Castiel the crested if I take another long vacation. If its just a day to three days I haven't had to have her check on Cas. I just give him some somewhat watery CGD and fresh drinking water in his little bowl and call it good. Loved the video! I've been hesitant on taking a long vacation while Cas is still so young. But next year I'll be ready!
@@saralou123 Thank you very much. I can hear your friend on a call to you while you are on vacation "Cats are still alive" :)
Excellent Stream
Thanks again for all your help. Great tip to record!!!
Purchased a crestie from you in 2016. He is living his best life in a 24x24x24 Dubia enclosure (bioactive/drylock background). Love my Dobby, and I am officially hooked.
That is SO COOL to hear! Hi Dobby. And thank you so very much.
Great video guys
Thank you!

Gosh they’re so stunning!
Thank you so much. They really are! Small, easy to keep and breed, active, and beautiful!
